For twenty-five years, I solved complex design problems in commercial spaces — corporate offices, medical facilities, retail environments — where every square foot had to earn its keep. That experience taught me something most residential designers never learn how to think about the way people actually move through a space, day after day, year after year. When I founded Hy-Pro Homes Design Studio, I brought that rigor home — literally. Today, I specialize in full-service residential remodels for homeowners across the greater Sacramento area, and I pour everything I know into making houses work better for the people who live in them.

My design philosophy is simple: your home should be easy to live in. Not "impressive on Instagram" easy — genuinely, physically, daily-life easy. That means kitchens where you're not fighting the layout to make dinner. Bathrooms that will serve you well now and twenty years from now. Hallways, thresholds, and floor plans that make sense for the life you're living, not the one a trend report says you should want. I hold a CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist) designation, which means I'm specifically trained to design homes that adapt gracefully as your needs change — without ever looking or feeling clinical. It's smart design, built for the long haul.

Many of my clients are at a stage where they've earned the home they want. The kids may be grown, retirement may be on the horizon, and the house that served the family for decades is ready for its next chapter. I love working with homeowners who know what they like, have real-life experience with what doesn't work, and are ready to invest in getting it right.
